Choose the Right Lubricant for Vaginal Sex

Better Sex with Vaginal Lube

Choose the Right Lubricant for your needs

Water-based lubricants: Versatile, easy to clean, and safe to use with condoms and toys, most have silicone in it so check the labels for ingredients if you’re sensitive to them.

Silicone-based lubricants: Long-lasting and great for extended sessions, but not compatible with silicone toys and can harm your skin and delicate mucosa lining your mouth, anus, and genitals. Can take days to wash off, trapping bacteria and not allowing your skin to breathe and regenerate.

Slick Satin Plant based Intimate lube works better than other water-based lubricants.

Slick Platinum Plant based Intimate lube works better than silicone-based competitors.

Steps to Use Lubricant for Vaginal Sex

  • Prepare Yourself and Your Partner:
    • Wash your hands and the genital areas including the exterior of the vagina with warm water and Renew Everyday Wash to ensure cleanliness before and after sexual activity. Our Lube Cleanser Cloths can also help prepare oneself in a pinch or on the go.
    • Wipe the penis and or toys before and after intercourse with Renew Everyday Wash or Lube Cleanser Cloths, this will help balance pH on the skin and help you avoid irritation, vaginosis, etc.
    • Discuss comfort levels and preferences with your partner.
  • Apply Lubricant:
    • Squeeze a small amount of lubricant onto your fingertips.
    • Apply it directly to the vulva, vaginal opening, and penis. Spread it evenly to ensure adequate coverage.
    • If using a condom, apply lube to the outside of the condom once it’s on for additional glide.
  • Add More as Needed:
    • Keep the bottle nearby and reapply during sex if you feel friction or discomfort.
    • A generous amount of lubricant can prevent irritation or tearing.
    • It’s always better to use more!
  • Use Protection:
    • Use a condom or other barrier methods for protection against STIs and unplanned pregnancy as desired.
  • Aftercare:
    • Clean up by washing the butt, anus, legs, and genital area. Gently use Lube Cleanser Cloths or Renew Everyday Wash and warm water. It’s best if you can urinate and clean-up within 25 minutes of sex. This can greatly reduce your risk of STIs or other inflammation/irritation.
    • Use Renew Everyday Cleanser or Lube Cleanser Cloths to remove any residual lubricant, especially silicone-based lube, which can linger.
    • Relax, communicate with your partner, and ensure comfort.

Tips for a Better Experience:

    • Avoid warming or flavored lubricants, lubricants with sugar, vitamins E or C, and toxic chemicals. All of our products are designed to be as safe as possible.
    • All of our lubes and products are pH-balanced to promote anal and vaginal health while avoiding inflammation/irritation.
    • Do a patch test before using a new lubricant to ensure no allergic reactions.
